Bridal gowns are chosen in private, unhurried appointments, and every gown is fitted in our own workroom here in Bundaberg by the team who will finish it.

Your first bridal appointment runs about 90 minutes and is complimentary.

Your appointment is yours alone, and the time is set aside for you.

An in-house workroom.

Every alteration is completed in our own workroom, so the person who pins your gown at the first fitting is the person who finishes it.

Bespoke gowns.

Made from scratch, if that is what you desire. If the gown you have pictured does not exist yet, we can make it.

Experienced fitting and construction.

More than twenty years of bridal fitting, patternmaking and construction sit behind every gown that leaves the boutique.

Alterations & Restoration

Altered, restored and finished in house.

We specialise in wedding gowns, bridesmaids, prom, formalwear and special-occasion garments. Purchased a gown elsewhere? Bring it to us for a complimentary consultation and we will make sure it is fitted to you perfectly.

Restoring a mother’s or grandmother’s gown is considered redesign rather than simple repair. The aim is for the finished gown to look as though it was always meant to be that way.

Perhaps you have a photograph of a neckline you love, a sleeve from another gown, or simply an idea you have not been able to find anywhere. From the first sketch and the fabric, through patternmaking, construction and fitting, your gown remains in the hands of the Bundaberg Brides team.

The Team

The fit is the whole job.

Bundaberg Brides is a team of fitters, seamstresses and trainees, led by Madonna Rapmund. Madonna has been sewing professionally for more than twenty years. She trained formally in clothing production, textiles, patternmaking and design, and worked in bridal alterations and as a head bridal seamstress before opening the boutique.

That expertise sits behind every gown we fit, and every gown stays with the team from the first pin to the final press.
